A wet bag is a bag lined with a water proof fabric to help contain wet things (i.e. swimsuits, extra drooly [is "drooly" a word? If not I'm making it one!] baby clothes, etc.) and help minimize the mess.
Babies are messy! The get drool, spit-up, baby food all over themselves! So I decided I'd make a wet bag to go along with all Sister's other baby gifts. She could probably even use it to hold a dirty diaper she can't dispose of just yet. (Yucky! But it could happen!)
So I whipped up a regular old zippered pouch, but I lined it with (get this!) a shower curtain liner I bought at Dollar Tree.
Now Sister has her very own wet bag to help with whatever life (and Maci) through her way!

We have 3 wet bags in the house, at least. I started off with them when we were cloth diapering my second daughter, then quickly figured out they were handy for lots of yucky stuff.
I have never heard of these, but I also do not have children yet...does a husband count??!! Just kidding!
This is a fantastic idea and great to gift!
What a great idea. Much prettier than a plastic bag.
Great idea to make your own baby wipes bag too. I use ziplock baggies but these would be much more durable and reuseable.- Not to mention you can pick a cute fabric.
I NEED to make some of these! I love the idea of just using a cheap shower curtain. Thanks so much for sharing!

I really like this idea! I think I'll use it for a girlfriend of mine who just had her first baby (and will probably need a LOT of these!!) :)

i have been wanting to make my own, but wouldn't have thought of a shower curtain liner. great idea! thanks for sharing!
ingenious! As a cloth diaper'er, I've found that wet bags can be super expensive so this is something I'll have to try!
This is a great idea! How do you wash them? Wipe clean or do they do fine in a washer & dryer?
