Her birthday was last week. The big 2-6. We celebrated by having dinner at the Cheesecake Factory with friends. Yummy!! (Have I ever mentioned that I love cheesecake? Well I do . . . a lot!)
For her birthday present this year, I made her present. Do you remember my 3 day apron making binge where I whipped up these beauties? Well I also made another one, just for her. Clearly I had to keep it a secret so I wouldn't spoil the surprise!
A little back story:
Best Friend has just started really getting into being crafty. More specifically, she wants very badly to learn to quilt. For her birthday, her mom bought her a bunch of stuff she'll need for quilting (i.e. self-healing mat, rotary cutter, etc.)
Also, her and her husband just bought their first house. And guess what she gets to have? A craft room!! Lucky girl!
So to help her along with all her crafting and quilting, I made her one of these:

It's a craft apron! Complete with pockets! And it's reversible!

And what sewer/quilter would be complete without a pin cushion?

I'm sure she'll get plenty of use from these things while she's getting her craft on!

Happy birthday Best Friend! I love you!
