Super Simple Bread Bowls

I woke up this morning to the absence of the sun. In it's place was a sky filled with sad, gray clouds. If you're like me, overcast days bring two things to mind -

1. It's a good day to stay inside and curl up with a good book or watch a movie.

2. Chili!

There's something so warm and cozy about having a nice warm bowl of chili on a day when the sky is gloomy and gray. And what better way to have a delicious serving of chili, than in an edible bowl? So here's a super easy trick I picked up on how to make fast and simple bread bowls.

To start, you need a can of refrigerated pizza dough. One can should make two bowls.

Open the can and divide into two equal sections. I like to knead the dough a bit to make the dough ball stick together better. You don't want the dough separating in the oven. It won't be a very good bowl if it's oblong!

Once you have two dough balls, place them on a greased baking sheet.

Place the sheet in a preheated 325 degree oven for about 25 minutes. You may need more or less time depending on your oven. When they're done baking, allow them to cool a bit, and then use a knife to cut out a cone-shaped portion from the top of the bread bowl. If you want more room inside the bowl for the filling, simply take a spoon and remove more of the bread.

Presto! Instant bread bowl! Fill with whatever stew/soup/etc. that you like and enjoy!

Doesn't that look delicious! Try Beach Brights easy chili recipe as a great filler for your bread bowl. You can find the recipe here. Enjoy!
